The Problem

Good notes. No way back to the moment.

Last year, studying for an exam, I caught myself in a strange loop. YouTube on one screen, notes app on another. Watch a minute, pause, jot, rewind, repeat — 30 to 40 times over a single 45-minute lecture.

I ended up with good notes and no way back to the moments that created them. To revisit the derivation at minute 23, I had to scrub and hope. My notes and the video that taught me were completely disconnected.

This isn't just me. Over 500 million people use YouTube for structured learning — coding, exam prep, languages, coursework — treating it like a classroom for billions of hours a year.

YouTube has the content, the data, and the distribution to own this.
